Entranceway Beautification

Thank you to everyone who made a voluntary contribution to the Entrance Beautification Fund when paying the Lake Arrowhead invoice over the last two years.

As a result of the community’s generosity, we raised enough to cover the cost to repair the stone pillars at the Casa Bella entranceway, which is one of the projects we plan to accomplish with the Entrance Beautification Fund.

The mason who normally does the work for the Lake Arrowhead Club has been very busy and says he is unable to hire qualified workers. We are hoping he can fit us in soon.

The funds have been set aside and earmarked for the entranceway, so even if we have to wait until later in the year, we will be okay.

The large wooden “Lake Arrowhead” sign on the island at the entranceway is also in need of repair. We are going to try to repair it ‘in house’ with volunteer help from the community instead of contracting the work out.

Our thanks go out to Rob Gude who has offered to spearhead the repair of the large wooden ‘Lake Arrowhead’ sign. Now we need volunteers who can assist. This will consist of dismantling the sign, transporting it within the lake, working to restore the sign, and placing it back on the island. As you can see, there is a need for woodworking skills as well as general help.

If you are willing to help, please send an email to Rob at njskypilot@gmail.com and he will keep you informed as the work party comes together. Please let him know if you have particular skills that could be used in the restoration phase.

As we accomplish both these projects, the entranceway will reflect the pride we have in our community.
